| Job Description: Account Executive - Trade Shows Hanley Wood Exhibitions presents industry-leading conferences and exhibitions that bring residential/commercial constructionprofessionals face-to-face with product manufacturers. Trade shows offer top-notch education, exceptional networking opportunities, and live, hands-on instruction not found at other industry events. Position Reports to: Sales Manager, Show Manager or Show Director Objective: Primary objectives are to aggressively sell exhibit booths and sponsorships / marketing opportunities and to foster relationships with current exhibitors. Responsibilities: Aggressively sell booths and sponsorships / marketing opportunities via telephone and email. May visit clients on occasion. Work with manager to create strategic plans to achieve revenue goals by generating new sales ideas and researching new markets. Provide accurate sales projections and forecasts. Develop strong relationships with exhibitors, handling booth regulations, vendor issues and overall communication regarding operations, ensuring that all communication is clear, concise and consistent with show guidelines. Maintain and update sales databases. Grow show by prospecting new companies / products through various sources including industry and other publications, websites, and competitive shows. Increase revenue streams of non-booth sales opportunities (advertising, promotional opportunities) by cross-selling exhibitors. Work closely with show management to develop sales letters and marketing promotions. Function as integral part of overall show management effort in performing additional duties as required. Travel as required to Hanley Wood tradeshows. Supervise assigned on-site activities as needed. Travel on occasion to competitive tradeshows to build relationships with existing customers and develop new prospects. Requirements: 1 - 3 years prior sales experience. High level of proficiency in the use of computer software including Word and Excel. Use of SalesLogix client database, a plus! Project oriented with superior attention to detail and outstanding organizational skills. Excellent written and verbal skills required, including spelling and grammar accuracy.
