Position Description: Vocera is looking for an Intern to join our Product Management team. This internship is an opportunity to learn and develop your professional product management skills. You will have hands on experience writing business requirements, owning real time project deliverables, and will gain industry knowledge. Our internship is designed for individuals who are currently enrolled at an accredited college/university and who will be continuing their studies in the fall.

This is an exciting opportunity for anyone planning to begin a career working with data, focusing on analysis and driven to improve the lives of clinicians and patients in the healthcare settings.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with various databases and data sources to assemble schemas for targeted data insights and building dashboards
  • Create, implement and validate predictive models focusing on big data in the healthcare communications space
  • Assist with deliverables that support Vocera's inclusion in a healthcare or API marketplace, including: Collaborating with Marketing departments from both vendors to submit online descriptions of Vocera products while ensuring compliance with brand guidelines, and, conducting research on healthcare/API marketplaces to create a summary of available features
  • Learn from the team to think strategically and creatively to gather product and customer insights and define those into working knowledge
  • Help understand friction points in healthcare delivery and devise experiences to create seamless and effortless workflows
  • Build trust and effective relationships with cross-functional teams
  • You will have the opportunity to participate and learn about data platforms, build analysis for clinical workflows and create visuals to display data patterns and trends with real world healthcare data

  • Strong problem-solving abilities, focused on the use of computer algorithms and qualitative and quantitative methodologies for structuring data insights

Requirements

  • Candidates should be seeking a Bachelor's or Advanced degree in Computer Science or related field
  • Basic knowledge of algorithms and computer programming (Extract, Transform and Load (ETL) and Business Intelligence technologies
  • Knowledge of Data Lake technologies desired
  • Able to work independently at times and dedicate a minimum of 20 hours/week
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without restriction
  • Must be willing to submit to a background investigation, including verification of your employment and criminal history
  • Must be 18 years of age or older
